Sneak Eats | midi Restaurant

How far we’ve come from this post (click here) back in December when executive chef Michelle Mah was rocking flannel and picking out carpet for the restaurant with GM Catherine Green.

The carpet is down, the flannel has been replaced by a chef coat – opening for dinner TONIGHT – we give you a sneak peak inside midi Restaurant (click here for a secret video):

The Tipping Point

Although we’re still a few hours away from the opening of the Tipsy Pig, we’ve got a sneak preview into the restaurant for those who were unable to attend our opening festivities this past weekend.  So here you go, the Tipsy Pig, from soup-to-nuts and from the mouths of the owners (also nuts):

I’d recommend watching the video in high definition too.

Location: Scala’s private dining room

What You’re Seeing: An exclusive first look of an item off executive chef Jen Beisty’s soon-to-debut menu that she prepared as part of a test meal.  These are the kind of tests that I like (and that I can pass).

Sneak Eats – Gitane Restaurant

Opening next Tuesday, November 11th, Gitane Restaurant is a modern, funky, and artistically bold new restaurant.

You’ll have to wait until Tuesday to taste the food and see the beautiful space, but you can get a sneak peak first look inside of Gitane here!  Watch the below video for an interview with the executive chef, wine director, mixologist and designer.

Sneak Eats – Miss Pearl’s Jam House

Three (more) reasons to get excited about Miss Pearl’s Jam House (opening August 27th).

From left-to-right (incase you thought the chefs were a piece of chicken).  Click image to enlarge both the photo and your appetite.

1.   The Jerk-Chicken: The Jamaican tradition of barbecuing meats, seafood & vegetables with a highly seasoned, sweet & spicy rub consisting of scallions, young ginger, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon and the intensely hot Scotch Bonnet Chile.

2.   Spit Roasted Pork Loin: Blue Mountain Coffee Rub, Vanilla-Ginger Yam Mash, Mango Slaw

3.   The Chef Team: Executive Chef Robert Barker & Joey Altman
